About this print
Walk With Me
Seen from behind on a harvest path, Jesus turns his open hand back toward whoever is standing at the edge of the field.
What is painted
A narrow dirt track runs through a field of tall golden wheat, and Jesus walks along it away from us in sandals, a cream robe and a long tawny mantle that trails in the breeze. His face is hidden. Only his right arm is turned back, palm up, fingers relaxed, as if waiting for someone to take hold.
Ahead the land opens into rolling hills, cypress trees, a village on a rise and a river shining under a setting sun. Heavy clouds glow orange and rose across the sky. The oil painting style covers the full sheet with loose, impressionist strokes, and no words or lettering appear anywhere in the picture.
The call to follow
The Gospels return again and again to one short command. Walking by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting their net and said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). They left their nets at once. Levi rose from his tax booth on the same word (Mark 2:14).
Fields of grain are part of that story too. Mark 2:23 describes Jesus going through the corn fields on the sabbath while his disciples plucked the ears as they walked. And in John 4:35 he tells his friends to lift up their eyes and look on the fields, because they are already white for harvest. This painting gathers both ideas: the walk, and the ripe field around it.
A picture for new beginnings
Because it shows Jesus leading rather than waiting, it suits seasons of change: a baptism, a first job, a graduation, a move to a new town or a decision to come back to church. Many people hang it in an entryway or hallway, where the path seems to continue into the house, or in a farmhouse kitchen where the wheat matches warm wood.
The golden tones of the field also make it an easy match for autumn and Thanksgiving decor, when the harvest theme feels right at home. Larger sizes give the open landscape room to breathe over a sofa or at the end of a long corridor.
We print it as a giclée on heavyweight archival matte stock, produced to order in the US, and US shipping is free. Frames are not included. Choose any size between 5x7 and 24x36 inches, a metric or A size, or a digital file you can print yourself.
