Then the questioning begins. Neighbors doubt it is the same man. The Pharisees interrogate him and his parents, and insist that Jesus must be a sinner because the healing happened on the sabbath. That line has become a model of honest faith. John Newton echoed it in his hymn Amazing Grace: “was blind, but now I see.” At the end of the chapter the man meets Jesus again, believes, and worships him.
